Process for Applying for Salinas Steinbeck Rotary Club Funds
To assure careful consideration of requests for funding from the Salinas Steinbeck Rotary Club, please complete the form below. Funding goals include, but are not limited to organizations, programs, projects, or activities which promote, contribute to, or benefit:
- Rotary International district or global activities
- Youth, particularly students at Everett Alvarez High School
- Literacy and education
- Health, food, water, and/or sanitation for residents of the Greater Salinas area
- Safety and welfare of women and girls
Funding priorities. Salinas Steinbeck Rotary Club may provide funding to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, for-profit organizations, and individuals for programs, projects, or activities which align with the funding goals of the Steinbeck Rotary Club. Preference will be given to those programs, projects, or activities which benefit groups rather than individuals. Club members or their organizations may request funds for such programs, projects, or activities on the same basis as other requesters.
Funding process
1. Complete and submit the funding request form, below, describing in detail the purpose of the request.
2. The request will be forwarded to a committee consisting of the Community Service Chair, Youth Service Chair, International Service Chair if the request is for an international program, project, or activity, and Treasurer, who will promptly meet to review the funding request and to make a recommendation to the Board of Directors. The recommendation may be for more or less funding than requested.
4. The Board of Directors shall meet as soon as practicable to review the committee recommendation and make a decision regarding the request.
5. The Club President will promptly communicate the Board’s decision to the funding requester.
